Each scheduled train is a different length.
- Heritage Train, Craft Beer Train and Enchanted 9 3/4 are approximately 2.25 hours
- Robbery tours are approximately 2.5 hrs.
- Pitchfork Fondue, Settler Supper and Rum Runner are approximately 3.5 hour

All trains but the Pangman Morning Train & Kid’s Fun Train will be going to the Horizon area. The Heritage Train will stop at Horizon for a tour of the elevator while the Pangman Morning Train will stop in Pangman to allow riders to visit the local farmer’s market. The Pitchfork Fondue, Texas Bar-B-Q, Rum Runner and Settlers Supper will go to Horizon and come straight back as supper will be served at the Horizon Community Centre. There will not be time to stop at the elevator on the supper tours.

No, but we are very close to a restaurant and a grocery store. Also, most operating days there is a ice cream stand open on Main Street in Ogema. Be advised that the restaurant is not open on Sundays however the ice cream stand does serve deep-fried items.
Water, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are offered as refreshments on most train tours.

If there is room available, we will take walk-ons but we strongly recommend that you buy your tickets early so you are not disappointed. Our seating is limited and demand is high for many of the tours.

Parking is available in the parking lot on the North side of the train station and on the grass to the east of the station.

Yes, there is a small gift shop located in the train station waiting room where there is a selection of train-related items for sale. Water and soft drinks are also available in the gift shop as well as on the train

We are licensed to serve beer on all of our tours. However, we do not serve during the Kid’s Fun Train. We serve beer, wine, and spirits at the Horizon Community Centre during our supper tours. If you are having a special occasion during one of our tours, let us know at least 1 week prior if you would like something added to our list of offered drinks. If we are able to accommodate, we will advise on any additional costs.

Yes, there is one unisex bathroom on the train.. People with mobility issues may have issues, however, there are modern washrooms available beside the Ogema Train Station as well.

Yes, there is no charge for children under three but they must be seated on a parent or guardian’s lap on the Heritage Train. For all other trains, there is a nominal charge for young children. Visit our Schedule page for pricing.

When ridership is below a certain threshold, staff may decide to cancel a trip. This decision is typically made a week in advance. In this situation, riders would be notified and offered either a refund, gift certificate or tickets(s) to another date and/or time.
Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
Cancellations requested by the customer will be offered a gift certificate or tickets(s) to another date and/or time. Special circumstances my result in a full or partial refund, however these decisions are made at the discretion of Southern Prairie Railway.
By purchasing a train ticket, you are aware that the train could potentially be delayed for any reason, including, but not limited to: an emergency, weather, or a mechanical issue and take this risk freely.
