Who We Are And What We Do
Southern Prairie Railway is Saskatchewan’s first full sized tourist railway. Formed in 2010 our goal is to provide an authentic prairie pioneer experience.
Located in beautiful Ogema, Saskatchewan, SPR travels east and west to the towns of Pangman and Horizon respectively.
Our guests will enjoy this excursion on our 1925 Passenger car, pulled by a General Electric 44-ton switcher locomotive. Guests will be treated to the picturesque fields of the prairies as well as the abundance of wildlife.
Board Of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of 6-8 passionate individuals who volunteer their time and expertise at various levels for Southern Prairie Railway. Board Members are responsible for the Schedule, Budget, Repair, Maintenance, Marketing and Managing the staff that keep SPR running smoothly. This group relies on a strong local volunteer base that help keep the station and yard looking beautiful including the yard, trees and the flower beds to name a few.
